VESTRA staff prepared a subdivision map for a 16-lot small lot subdivision on Lake Boulevard at the edge of the City limits. VESTRA worked closely with City of Redding planning and engineering staff to come up with a project that satisfied both client and City requirements. The map was approved by the City in 2005. VESTRA then provided design of the onsite and offsite improvements, which included three new streets within the subdivision (curb, gutter, and detached sidewalk and widening with curb, gutter, and sidewalk along Lake Boulevard). A sewer main extension was designed from an existing manhole at the end of a residential street about 1,000 feet east of the site into the subdivision. The water main extension was designed from the water main located in Lake Boulevard, across the street, and iinto the subdivision. Service laterals to each parcel were designed. VESTRA designed a stormwater detention pond for the project, which was located on the remainder parcel on the east side of Lake Boulevard . Storm drainage from the project site was designed to be collected within the subdivision and conveyed across Lake Boulevard into the detention pond, where it is metered out at the predevelopment flow. VESTRA also provided periodic construction inspection. A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) was prepared by VESTRA for the project. The SWPPP was implemented by the project owners with assistance from VESTRA. |
