Engineering Design and Wetland Delineation
Ridge Top Estates Subdivision, shasta county, california
|
VESTRA prepared road improvement plans for a 25-lot subdivision in Shasta County. VESTRA provided design for street improvements that included a 22-foot-wide roadway with transitions to a 20-foot-wide roadway located within existing wetland areas. VESTRA staff prepared the wetland delineation and obtained permitting from the US Army Corps of Engineers. Planning was complex due to the hillside location of the subdivision, with numerous seasonal drainage crossings. VESTRA proposed implementing bottomless arch culverts to minimize disturbance to existing drainage channels. The project design included a water main extension and extension of electricity, telephone, and cable TV throughout the subdivision. VESTRA also prepared fire flow calculations to verify that proposed fire hydrants would have adequate pressure and flow. |
