Planning and Preliminary Engineering Services
Turntable Bay Marina, Shasta County, California
|
This project included development of a conceptual plan and business plan for a new resort on Shasta Lake. The proposed project included a four-lane launch ramp, restrooms, 130 public mooring slips, 84 rental houseboats, floating fuel tanks, pump-out systems with leachfield, potable wellwater, cafe, retail store, administrative buildings, and 24 deluxe cabins, including a 100-space RV park. As part of the conceptual plan, VESTRA conducted a preliminary environmental analysis and engineering of the site to ensure environmental factors such as visual quality, noise, rare and endangered species, and archeological resources did not result in significant project changes. In addition, detailed topographic surveying and mapping, preliminary civil engineering of the facility, geotechnical soil evaluations, and water well exploration holes were included in the US Forestry Service submittal. |
