Mitigation Monitoring
Trinity County, California
|
VESTRA was contracted by the Bureau of Reclamation to assist with a feasibility study to evaluate construction of on-stream sediment retention ponds on two tributaries of the Trinity River (Indian and Rush creeks). The study was part of an upslope watershed restoration program that addresses the problem of excessive sediment input from numerous tributaries of the Trinity River. VESTRA also developed design criteria for the sedimentation ponds and provided estimated construction and maintenance costs. Site reconnaissance was completed on the lower three miles of both creeks. VESTRA also assisted with National Environmental Policy Act and California Eenvironmental Quality Act permitting compliance for this project. |
