Gis Implementation
Modoc County, california
|
VESTRA recently assisted Modoc County with creation of a parcel-based GIS. VESTRA's solution for Modoc County consists of parcel layer development complete with:
VESTRA constructed the assessor parcels using best available 2005 NAID color orthoimagery and the BLM public land survey (PLS) for best-alignment. Derivative layers can be created from parcels depending on the attributes attained from the assessor's table. These layers often include community service districts, spheres of influence zoning, and tax rate areas. The package is entirely scalable for growth and serves the GIS data internally to the County departments and the public through the Internet. All deliverables go through rigorous testing, both at VESTRA and onsite at Modoc County, with VESTRA staff setting up, loading, and delivering full documentation, training, and support to County staff. In addition, VESTRA delivered framework data of seamless Digital Raster Graphics, Digital Ortho Quarter Quads, Public Land Survey, data developed for the Pit River Watershed Analysis (55 data layers, covering a large portion of the county), and base data from the California Spatial Information Library, such as hydrology, roads, fire history, census blocks, and watersheds clipped and projected to the County's specifications. |
