VESTRA is working with Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA) to develop and implement an agencywide enterprise GIS. SCWA employees were interviewed to gain an understanding of the different ways that GIS could be implemented into their division's workflows.

VESTRA led a series of half-day meetings and presentations to update SCWA on ways similar agencies and companies are implementing GIS to improve efficiency and data accessibility. VESTRA compiled a GIS implementation strategy that described long-term solutions concentrating on the areas of work- and dataflow, organizational considerations, expected benefits, timeline, and budgets. Ideas and critiques expressed by employees were incorporated where applicable.
