Expansion Permitting/Waste Water Pond Design
Greenwood Dairy
VESTRA provided permit facilitation, regulatory compliance, engineering and sampling services to the Greenwood Dairy near Orland. The operator expanded his herd from 1,800 to 3,500 milking head. Glenn County CAFO regulations, RWQCB, and California Air Quality Control required lengthy permitting package submittals and approval processes. VESTRA's assistance was requested to gain RWQCB approval of the design. VESTRA coordinated permitting of the dairy expansion and designed the wastewater ponds to meet CCR Title 27 requirements. VESTRA continues to perform groundwater monitoring, monitoring well installation, and General Order compliance support including Annual Report preparation in compliance with the Individual Order.
