Engineering and Construction Assistance
Buckeye Pines Subdivision
Redding, California
VESTRA prepared a tentative subdivision map for a 16-lot, small lot subdivision on Lake Boulevard at the edge of the city limits along Lake Boulevard. VESTRA worked closely with City of Redding Planning and Engineering staff to identify a project that satisfied both the client and city requirements. The tentative map was approved by the City of Redding in 2005. VESTRA then provided the design of onsite and offsite improvements including three new streets within the subdivision; curb, gutter, and detached sidewalk; and widening with curb, gutter, and sidewalk along Lake Boulevard. A sewer main extension was designed from an existing manhole at the end of a residential street approximately 1,000 feet east of the site into the subdivision. The water main extension was designed from the water main located in Lake Boulevard, across the street, and into the subdivision with service laterals to each parcel. VESTRA designed a stormwater detention pond for the project, which was located on the remainder parcel on the east side of Lake Boulevard. Storm drainage from the project site was designed to be collected within the subdivision, conveyed across Lake Boulevard, and metered out at the pre-development flow into the detention pond. VESTRA also provided periodic construction inspection. A SWPPP was prepared by VESTRA for the project and was implemented by the project proponent with assistance from VESTRA.
