VESTRA served as project manager, design engineer, and surveyor for five commercial buildings on two sites located on Victor Avenue and Bunker Street in the city of Redding.  The project included obtaining a site development permit and site civil design for both properties.  Offsite improvement design included street improvements along Victor Avenue consisting of street widening, restriping, street lighting, and storm drainage facilities.  Design of street improvements along Bunker Street included street widening, street lighting, and storm drainage facilities.  Water and sewer connections as well as underground utilities and a gas line extension were designed.  HEC-1 analysis was completed by VESTRA for existing open-channel drainage ditch located onsite.  The analysis included determining the pipe size to convert the open channel into a pipe and also the size of the detention facility required.  Two 48-inch HDPE pipes were placed under the parking lot for the site on the west side of Victor.  On the east side of Victor, an arch culvert was used as the pipe was located in the planter area at the front of the property.  An inlet headwall, outlet structure, and junction structure at the existing box culvert crossing Victor Avenue were designed.  VESTRA also provided construction staking for both project sites and periodic construction inspection.
