Projects
Fish Passage Design and Permitting
VESTRA worked with the EFYDC to design and acquire environmental permits for a fish ladder at the Yreka Ditch Diversion on the Shasta River near Weed. The project was the result of a highly contentious, controversial disagreement among EFYDC, a neighboring landowner, and CDFG for violations of the Fish and Game Code. The project included a hydrologic study, site survey, and conceptual design alternatives. VESTRA also completed CEQA documents, a Section 404 permit application, Section 401 application for water quality certification, Form 1600 notice of streambed alteration, and biological assessments for state and federal Endangered Species Act consultations.
