Tehama West Watershed Assessment
Tehama County, California
VESTRA completed the Tehama West Watershed Assessment for a project area that covers approximately 680,000 acres. The Tehama County Resource Conservation District found the need to provide a comprehensive current conditions report of environmental conditions within the watershed. The objective of the assessment was to gather and integrate existing information on the watershed’s current and past conditions and use the data as a basis to identify areas in which additional data are needed and ecosystem improvements are required. The issues identified with the assessment included non-native vegetation, wildlife habitat degradation, and urban encroachment.
