Programmatic Environmental Impact Report
Shasta Mosquito and Vector Control Distict
VESTRA is currently preparing a Programmatic Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) for the Shasta Mosquito and Vector Control District (SMVCD). The PEIR evaluates SMVCD activities under an Integrated Vector Management Program (IVMP) that occurs over a large geographic area (approximately 1,100 square miles). The PEIR provides alternatives analyses, identifies potentially significant impacts and develops impact mitigations, and includes a mitigation monitoring and reporting program. The Draft PEIR will be released for agency and public comment by October 2011. Following the close of the 45-day review period, VESTRA will assist SMVCD in responding to comments on the Draft PEIR, and preparation of the Final PEIR and a Notice of Determination including any statements of overriding considerations and findings.
