Ore Reserve Characterization, Permitting, and Water Rights Compliance

VESTRA was retained by Mineral Resources LLC to conduct the exploration and permitting activities required to develop and expand a glass-grade silica sand mine located in Oroville, California.  At full production, the quarry will produce approximately 500,000 tons of sand per year and include a slurry pipeline, sand sorting and processing facility, closed loop wastewater processing system, and rail spur loading and transfer area.  VESTRA was responsible for the exploration and evaluation of resources, as well as permitting support.  Permitting activities include a Use Permit application, Waste Discharge Requirements, SMARA compliance, and water rights establishment.  VESTRA has completed numerous special studies, including a comprehensive mercury characterization study, biological assessments, wetland delineation, and reporting programs.
