Stormwater Permittting and Pollution Prevention Planning (Construction and Industrial)/Erosion Control Plans

Industrial and Construction Plans

VESTRA has prepared hundreds of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) / Erosion Control Plans for clients. SWPPPs are required for sites with a potential to discharge sediment and/or pollutants into receiving waters. Our engineering staff have extensive experience in designing and implementing these plans, conducting site inspections, performing required sampling, and preparing the necessary documentation and reports.

Construction SWPPPs are required for project sites disturbing an acre or more of soil and generally focus on establishing the Best Management Practices (BMPs) that will be employed to prevent sediment from leaving the site during construction activities. The plan also includes monitoring activities to gauge the efficacy of the BMPs.

Industrial SWPPPs are required for sites covered by the State Industrial General Permit, including manufacturing facilities, oil and gas/mining facilities, hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facilities, landfills, transportation facilities, and sewage or waste treatment works. Industrial SWPPPs focus on pollutants that may be present onsite and describe activities employed to prevent those pollutants from leaving the site.

The professional engineers on staff at VESTRA have years of experience in the development of plans and documentation that incorporate cost-effective compliance strategies while fulfilling all regulatory requirements. We can provide a full range of consulting, planning, and project management services.
