Irrigation Diversion and Efficiency, Fish Screen, and Streambank Stabilization
Kosk Creek, Jammal Ranch
Shasta County, California
VESTRA staff obtained the necessary permits for the installation of a fish screen on the Kosk Creek Irrigation Diversion for the Jammal Ranch in Shasta County. Staff designed and supervised construction of a paddle-wheel-powered fish screen, and engineered a concrete irrigation ditch/ seasonal drainage junction box to replace a damaged culvert. VESTRA worked closely with the various agencies to obtain permits for the bank stabilization on Kosk Creek in a reach that experienced severe erosion during the 1997 floods.
