Services
GIS
VESTRA was one of the first firms in the state of California to offer GIS services, and we have maintained a leading role in GIS system design, implementation, and customization. Over the past 23 years, we have helped hundreds of clients in federal, state, and local government as well as private firms use GIS to build and maintain critical systems, supporting public works, utilities, natural resources, and emergency preparedness applications.
One of VESTRA's strengths is our ability to assess the needs of a particular organization and recommend a specific mix of GIS services, hardware, and software that best meets those needs as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
VESTRA's GIS staff includes 5 geographic information systems Professionals (GISPs). A GISP is more than a practitioner of GIS; they are a professional. A GISP has met the minimum standards for educational achievement, professional experience, and manner in which he or she contributes back to the profession. All GISPs have had their professional backgrounds scrutinized and reviewed by an independent third party organization. An Institute comprised of leading non-profit associations (AAG, NSGIC, UCGIS, and URISA) focused on the application of GIS and geospatial technology. We are proud of the accomplishments made by our professional staff and continue to encourage growth in all areas of their career.
